A workhorse of a laptop for it's price...
Review of HP Pavilion Zv5000t by
greekmiss
Advantages: Quick laptop with lots of resources, clean crisp monitor with great resolution
Disadvantages: heavy and bulky
I've owned this HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop for a while now and have yet to have any issues. I am running Windows XP on it and have a ton of software additions such as Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, some picture software for editing photos and more. I've never had a problem with a lack of resources which is a huge plus. This laptop can definately handle what I've needed it for. It runs on a Pentium 4 processor so it's pretty quick too. The graphics ... ...bright and crisp and looks great. I've been able to watch movies online with no problems either so the resolution is pretty good. The downside to this laptop is it's size and weight - but if you do not plan to travel much with it then you're good to go. ...

HP zd7000 Review
Review of HP Pavilion Zd7000 by
Techguy
Advantages: Powerful
Disadvantages: overheats, unreliable, heavy
This is a very powerful computer, when it is working.
the one that i had had a 3ghz pentium 4 HT proccessor 512mb ram and a 80gb hardrive, very reasonable specs for a laptop and one that up untila few months ago would of competed with the new laptops that were coming out.
Pros:
very powerful, ram upgradable to 4gb, wifi built in, card reader built in and a very handy seperate number pad, just like on a normal keyboard. Cons:
However i feel because ... ...problems. The major one being the heat produced it really does get very hot to the point i would be concerned about it and built it its own stand to elevate it. I downloaded a cpu temerature checker and it was regulary in the 80 degree c region, the noise from the 2 large fans also rivalls my xbox 360. The other 'problem' is battery life i got at best about an hour out of mine a new one maybe a bit more but this comes with it being very powerful ...

HP Pavilion Ze5602
Review of HP Pavilion Ze5602us by
sirrob
Advantages: Very reliable in terms of functionality.
Disadvantages: I still have to find one that would bring buyers not to get one.
...technological advancement.
And since HP products have given me satisfaction in the past years and although there are products from different brands that is at par or above but I am still looking forward of buying another HP product. A trusted product always gives me a heads up that it is quite good and works fine with me. So in 3 months time, I would have a new HP laptop although I am still searching for the specs and I have to say good bye to my ...

Review of Sony VAIO NR498 by
rajakrsnan
Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Expensive
I like Sony Vaio for its cool looks. Sony Vaio is a fashion statement. I fell in love with it the moment i saw. I personaly use another brand but always carry a wish that one day i will lay my hands on a Vaio. The configuration is ok for me. Higher memory of 3Gb to 4GB is always preferable. my personal pereferance is for 4GB Ram which is ideal for todays operating systems. 250Gb HDD is ideal for stuffing as much into it. 5Hrs battery run time is ...

Intel Atom for the Lenovo Ideapad
Review of Lenovo IdeaPad S10 Intel Atom Processor Speed: 1.6 by
certifiedblogaholic
Advantages: Excellent speed for a netbook
Disadvantages: Still heats up the laptop in an hour
Lenovo recently entered the netbook market with the Ideapad S10. It uses the latest Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor used by the earlier-released netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, and Asus Eee PC 901.
Compared to my Asus Eee 4G with an Intel Celeron 900 MHz, the speed and performance of the Intel Atom accelerated dramatically. The first time I turned it on, Windows start-up was approximately just under 30 seconds. I hadn't expected a netbook to be this ... ...fast as the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. But then again, for a gadget this small, it was satisfactory.
Lenovo's Intel Atom exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. Considering the $439 price tag, it is definitely good value for a portable laptop. If only it can perform without causing the laptop to heat up too much in a short time, it may spell doom for regular-sized laptops. ...
