YOU COULD USE IT TO PROVIDE LIGHT FOR MEDICAL XRAYS IF YOU WANTED TO, BUT FOR 250 BUCKS THAT'S NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND. I SENT IT BACK AND, IN DUE COURSE RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT. This Tv has been on my "to buy" list for a year and a half. It was one of the first 32 inch 1080p lcd tvs on the consumer market, and continues to smash the competition. It has a fast 6ms refresh rate which is great for gaming either via a console system, or through your computer (yep- it has a vga input!)
