...The monitor included was the Samsung SyncMaster 713BM which I'm reviewing here.
This was the first time I'd owned a TFT/LCD monitor at home (although I had used several at work before then) and I was quite excited about having a monitor which took up less space on my PC workstation, having previously had a Belinea 17 inch "tank" of a monitor which I really shouldn't berate as it gave me good service for a good 5 years or so. I was very relieved. I didn't fancy spending a $300 or more or a new monitor at this time as I'm off on holiday soon and when you consider you can get a whole new computer for around $1000 with lots of bits thrown in as well as a monitor, I didn't want to waste money on just buying a new monitor. ...it's computer screens. Yet the SAMSUNG SyncMaster 172N kept me satisfied for four months, ever since I replaced my other screen. I've used many screens before, from all size and shape and this is no doubt one of my favorite.
At 17 inches display size, it's neither too big that it tires your eyes, but it's not so small that nothing fits. With color support of 24 bit and 1280 x 1024 maximum resolution, there's only a few few few things that you can't ... ...see those anyway. And the back light life is 20 thousand hours - so it won't black out on you for at least, say, 3 years - and't that's assuming you use the computer 24 hours a day - which you obviously don't. You can also adjust the angle of the screen. By pushing the screen up or down, you can control how the screen faces you. There's six buttons on the button for easy adjusting. I bought Lenovo ThinkVision L190x to replace my original monitor that faded on me within 18 months of purchase. I plugged this monitor into my computer and it was ready to go. The 19-inch widescreen makes for easy viewing on the eye.the colors are crisp and I don't find any bleeding on the edges of the screen. it is so angle that I can rotate the monitor to change from landscape to portrait viewing and the image adjust automatically, so I can see ... ...movies or playing games, the feeling is very comfortable. Its ultra slim bezel is only 6.6 mm wide which can save a lot of space. It pledges to be 3 years warranty, so I can feel relieved.
It is easy to install, even if I'm a computer illiterate, I was able to install it myself, and it worked right out of the box.
I highly recommend this item for both the quality and value. I must say, I got what I paid for. ...

I love this LCD monitor. It has a very large, flat screen, which is very easy on my eyes, compared to others I have used. Also, there is no glare on the screen, which makes looking at the computer screen comfortable, since I do not have to squint. In addition, because of its size I can see web pages the way they were designed, instead of only seeing a small portion before scrolling down.
Also, because I work on the computer all day at work, it is ... ...display on this monitor is very clear and the colors are bright. It is also large enough that I can sit back from the screen, instead of constantly leaning forward to see. I have not had any problems at all with this monitor, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement. ...
