This was my first espresso machine which my husband bought even though I couldn't justify paying close to $300 for a coffee maker. I am sad to report that my first experience with an espresso machine was not a good one. This machine was not worth $300 and in my opinion not even worth half that. We have had it about 7 months now and it is not currently working. I'm not sure what's wrong with it but I am going to try to contact the company because I feel like I threw away $300 and I just don't have that kind of money to burn.
My first impression of the machine was that it looked like a quality product and the first few times we used it the espresso was amazing. Unfortunately the espresso function stopped working for reasons unknown after about 3 months of use. We don't use this machine every day, maybe more like twice a week so it's not like we wore it out.
Getting the machine working was a whole other issue. The manual was confusing and I gave up handing the task over to my husband. Either this machine is too complicated for simple folks like us or there is something seriously wrong with this thing because it was flashing lights and not behaving the way it should have after we followed the instructions. It was very difficult to program.
I wish I had more good to say about this machine but I really don't. You have to be very careful because when pouring your coffee the lid frequently falls off of the pot causing me to spill the coffee and also the hot nozzle which blows steam will pop off and could cause burns. Overall I have been very disappointed that I paid so much for such a piece of junk.
