Advantages Picture quality, ease of use, cost. Disadvantages A little slow, using LCD Screen, flimsy lens cap.
...After monitoring the magazines at the time (12 month ago) the KodakDC200 came out on top regarding picture quality compared to price and was the main factor in making a purchase.
Compact Flash card was important as I wanted to increase the cameras capacity, with the 16mb card I can store nearly 60 pictures at high resolution, good enough for A4 reproduction, and well over 120 at low resolution, good enough for net use.
Having recently found a very good stitch programme (see http://panorma.com) the results are absolutely stunning and can be thoroughly recommended.
A screw mount is also useful to add zoom, wide angle and macro lens, which I have done and the results justify the cost.
It can take rechargeable batteries, a must when using the LCD screen and when using the extra lens.
