Manufacturer's product description
Klipsch engineers are known for their smart, consumer-conscious designs. This two-way system uses one 0.75" (19mm) K-104-KV neodymium magnet compression driver with a 90° X 40° Tractrix Horn and two 3.5" (8.9cm) K-1068-KV magnetically shielded woofers. The new 90° X 40° MicroTractrix Horn embodies the advances of Klipsch's Tractrix Horn technology, but in its most compact application ever. High accuracy, low distortion and true Klipsch sound is delivered as the result. The elliptical enclosure is not only an aesthetic consideration, but also reduces the negative effects of internal standing waves. The cabinet is manufactured from Stone Mineral Compound (SMC), a material used extensively in professional loudspeakers. SMC is twice as dense as common ABS, providing superior damping characteristics and neutralizing unwanted resonance. Offering the ultimate in placement flexibility for your home cinema system, the Quintet satellites incorporate a unique pedestal design that may be used as a stand or easily swiveled for wall mounting.
