You can just weigh your ingredients on the platform,the scale has no bowl with it,but the instructions tell you that you can use a bowl of your own.

The scales are easily cleaned with a soft damp cloth.
A good scals because they wouldn`t melt if you accidentally put them near any heat.
There are no buttons to harbour the dirt and there is no counter space wasted.
Measures as little as an 1/8 of an oz..so very sensitive.
Measures both wet and dry ingredients.

I own these scales and find them really useful as I do a lot of home cooking and baking. I bought these myself on sale a few months ago. I liked the stylish look of them and they had great features stated on the display sign. This scale is a multifunctional scale with unique features. Besides weighing in ounces or grams, I can easily measure my recipe ingredients in fluid ounces and milliliters. I was surprised that it even holds A FULL ELEVEN pounds ... ...see and was amazed.
These scales are accurate and well designed -- not heavy, temperamental, or hard to clean. They just works really well. A lot of my recipes are by weight, and you should always weigh when baking instead of using measuring cups as it is more accurate.
