...free standing range was the Viking VDSC4856G for it's high quality standards. It does absolutely everything I could ask for in my new gourmet kitchen!
It is "dual fuel" which is a combination of electricity for the large self-cleaning oven, and gas for the excellent gas burners. The burners give me a gentle simmer for items that require that. And when I need the speed and "heat" of an efficient larger burner, it offers 15,000 BTU's… Now that's power!

This is a great stove!!! I love almost everything about it!! Plus it is very attractive and self cleans in oven. It has a nice easy to read and easy to use digital display with a black glass see thru door with an interior light, so no need to open door and get hit in face with heat to check whats cooking. This oven has been great. It was hard to slide into the space without breaking my granite. It had to be lifted by a couple of men to be placed appropriately in the space. Other than that once it was placed it was easy to learn to use. The convection oven was very easy to learn and made cooking a lot quicker and easier. The food stayed more moist.
