Manufacturer's product description
The 1050MD Mini Disc Recorder from Kenwood offers an enormous number of audio and mini disc features. One of them is Digital Anti-Skip, a special circuit designed to read musical data directly from the disc, store it in memory, then play the music back from a memory buffer. The result is a reduction in skipping from bumping or vibration. The longer the musical data is stored in the buffer, the less the system will skip. Additional useful features include auto and manual recording modes. Auto recording will automatically add a track number if a silence of more than two seconds has occurred. And during digital recording of CDs, auto recording will conveniently add track numbers that match those contained on the CD. With manual recording, track numbers can be added manually during the editing process.
