Manufacturer's product description
With Kenwood's CD-425M, smooth sound and 200-disc storage are just the beginning. Connect this changer to your computer via the included PCLink (RS-232C serial) adapter, and you'll find out what makes it revolutionary. For starters, you can download Kenwood's exclusive NetNamer PC software, and enjoy automatic title entry for all discs in the changer! NetNamer software works in conjunction with CDDB (an extensive online CD database) to download titles into your computer's and changer's memory. The bottom line: instead of spending your time and effort entering data for hundreds of CDs, NetNamer and PCLink can do it for you! Control the CD-425M from your PC, from wireless remote, or from the unit's front panel. You can assign each disc to one of 26 pre-named Music Type Files (rock, country, jazz, etc.) for group playback. Random-play all discs, or just those within a music type. 8 User Files let every member of the household store his or her favorite CDs for playback at a moment's notice. In addition to the handheld remote, the CD-425M includes a wireless keyboard remote for easier manual title entry. (The keyboard remote is great for CD-Rs and other discs not listed in CDDB, and for folks who aren't equipped to use NetNamer and PCLink yet.) You also get an optical output for dubbing digitally to a CD-R or MD recorder, and a convenient front-panel jog dial.
