To get recognition at Kentucky a ball needs to be sailing through a hoop, so football is not the best know sport for kentucky, but they have fielded some pretty good teams. They have only won two conference titles and no national titles. Their biggest rival is tennessee which usually comes out on top in games with them. They did have some good years when tim couch was there. They claim one member of the nfl hall of fame in quarterback and kicker george blanda. Like other sec schools they still manage to put many players in the pros. The best coach in college football history, Bear bryant, was a football coach there before going onto texas a&m then alabama, but kentucky was much more intrested in basketball. Their basketball coach got a new car and bear bryant got a watch at an awards banquet. Lucky for all us tide fans kentucky did not know better.
