CellSMART ATM Access Multiplexer from ADC Access Products enables companies to bring the efficiencies of broadband networking to smaller corporate sites. ATM technology offers a universal communication method for integrating data, video, and voice on a common network - local or worldwide. While this technology is widely known for its benefits at high-speed rates, ATM access at T1/E1 rates offers the same benefits and is very cost-effective. You save up front in lower access equipment costs, and the savings continue in lower monthly service charges for T1/E1 lines. Additionally, ATM provides dynamic bandwidth allocation capabilities not available with TDM, making bandwidth usage more efficient. The economical CellSMART multiplexer offers one or two ports for data and video applications. The multiplexers' flexible architecture and powerful RISC processors enable them to allocate bandwidth to applications as needed, maximizing data, video and voice WAN access. While performing service and protocol adaptation, the CellSMART multiplexers also provide valuable diagnostics. They monitor performance of your network at the physical layer, and collect data for many performance parameters at the packet and cell layers. Armed with this information, you can identify performance faults and network problems, and trend the long-term performance of your network.
