The CellSMART 202 is an economical NxT1/E1 solution for high bandwidth data applications. End users can connect to a network through their existing Frame Relay router, then extend their data networks over multiple T1/E1 lines using inverse multiplexing over ATM (IMA). Using these technologies, the CellSMART enables service providers to offer economical high-speed WAN access to their customers. Because of growing bandwidth requirements, networks require access speeds greater than T1 or E1 lines can provide. The CellSMART 202 provides higher bandwidth using inverse multiplexing over ATM (IMA) with up to four T1/E1 lines. The T1/E1 lines are combined to supply a single high-speed connection. The T1/E1 interfaces include integrated DSU/CSUs that provide line termination and protection on the network interface. The CellSMART handles end-user traffic through a V.35 interface, which supports line speeds up to 8 Mbps.
