Manufacturer's product description
The Access Bank I Voice Multiplexer is a simple yet powerful channel bank that converts a single T1 digital access line into 24 analog telephone circuits for voice, facsimile and modem applications. The Access Bank I Voice Multiplexer offers remote office connectivity and convenient access to local and long-distance carrier services. Much like a conventional channel bank, it converts a single T1 digital access line into 24 analog telephone circuits for voice, facsimile, and modem applications. Using a new generation of solid-state integrated circuits and advanced service features, the Access Bank I can be configured to address FXS, FXO, and E&M interface requirements. The design incorporates an integrated channel service unit (CSU), which allows you to simply plug in a T1 line without having to connect other peripheral devices or customized circuit cards to address specific network requirements. The Access Bank I is designed to operate smoothly with today's high-speed modems. It automatically adjusts matching characteristics to different modems and line conditions to provide a clean, high-quality transmission path. This feature allows optimal use of today's high-speed 56Kbps modems, along with improved quality for all telephone applications. Using the optional integrated modem, the Access Bank I can be remotely accessed to determine T1 status, or it can be configured to notify a network systems administrator of any problems. A Windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) provides a user friendly visual display to monitor and control the system. This enables quick identification and isolation of problems, significantly reducing downtime and improving services. Easy to install and to configure, the Access Bank I allows either rack or wall mount in crowded wiring closets or in remote locations where space is limited. Installation and configuration take just minutes. Switch settings for the Access Bank I are printed right on the case, eliminating the need to search through a user's manual to determine correct configuration settings.
