I like this DVD player. I wanted a JVC DVD player because I just bought the JVC LCD TV, and I wanted a compatible player. I bought it in 2005, and love it. It is simple to use, it is thin and lightweight. I blends in well with my decor, as I use it in my bedroom. This player has a modern/ contemporary feel to it. My satelite/cable box fits well on top of it, and I have no problem hooking it up or using it. One thing I did notice is that when I plug the cables in to the TV, the sound is odd, I solved that by only inserting on audio plug and that seems to do the trick. I like the fact that the remote can be used for both the TV and the DVD so I don't have to use two remotes.
