Manufacturer's product description
JVC keeps its technological edge in the engineering of component audio and video equipment. The TDW354BK features the exclusive Compu-Calibration recording system, a computer controlled recording mechanism that assures the highest quality recording possible. JVC cassette decks combine ease of use and high sound quality through sophisticated digital engineering. Dual Cassette Decks allow playback of cassettes in either of the two handy built-in decks. Record from one cassette to the other or from a separate source device, such as a CD player or AM/FM radio. Cassettes are still the most popular playback and recording format in the world, and this feature helps you maximize your enjoyment of them. Both cassette decks have auto reverse mechanisms, allowing for long-term listening and recording capabilities. Continuous Play load two cassettes into the unit, and select PLAY on each deck. When tape A finishes and shuts off, tape B will begin to play, allowing for uninterrupted listening. High Speed Dubbing allows you to make a copy of your favorite cassette for personal enjoyment. Record one side of a 60 minute cassette from another cassette in approximately 5 minutes. Enhanced COMPU-LINK Control System lets JVC receivers and other JVC components work together seamlessly. For instance, when you touch the PLAY button on a JVC CD player, the receiver automatically turns on and selects the proper input, and play begins. A JVC exclusive Compu-Calibration cassette decks optimize the deck's recording parameters to enjoy the highest performance from your favorite tape. Bias, equalization, and level (sensitivity) are adjusted to ensure flat response, low distortion, and extended high-frequency response. Automatic Level Control takes the guesswork out of your recordings. When a signal is detected by the recording unit, it automatically senses the level of the music, and sets the recording levels for the highest quality recording and lowest distortion levels. Synchronized Recording automatically begins the recording when a signal from the CD (or other source) is sensed, eliminating false starts and long spaces at the beginning of your recordings.
