Four settings are available: (Auto/Normal) provides the optimized picture benefits of the Auto Picture/Active Video Calibration System; (Soft) reduces image coarseness when viewing overplayed tapes containing a lot of noise; (Edit) minimizes picture degradation during editing (recording and playback) and (Sharp) provides clearer, sharper-edged picture when viewing images with lots of flat, same -colored surfaces such as cartoons. The Shuttle Plus feature brings full tape accessing flexibility of a traditional jog/shuttle control, plus more, in one easy-to-use button on the remote control. Enjoy fingertip control of frame advance, variable slow motion, multiple-speed search and Index Search. To crown it all, JVC HR-A47U makes set-up and installation virtually effortless thanks to Plug & Play! Simply take the VCR out of the box, hook-up the antenna or cable and then plug in the VCR.
