The real portable speaker I can say! If you have a six inches deep pocket, this JBL on on Tour speakers will absolutely fit yours. When I first saw it, I said - "is this a speaker?" But then I discovered that it is really a speaker. With the simple look of its sliding cover who would have thought that it is a speaker inside. The cover serves as protector of the speaker i think. But when you slide i open o reveal the speaker, the cover serves as a stand support. It is powered by four triple A batteries. And how's the sound like? Pleasant, smooth, no irritation to me at all. But sad to say, unlike its bro the JBL on Stage, JBL on tour doesn't charge your ipod. But like its bro it can be connected to ipods,Mp3's CD players and laptops. By the way you can't close its cover when you're playing something.
