One of my favorite things to order when I go out to a restaurant is lasagna. It is just such a popular dish for many people. I also am very pleasantly surprised if we have a family gathering and the main dish is lasagna. To me it is a basic necessity in my world.

This dish can be very time consuming and also very expensive. There are a million different recipes and varieties. There are just some times when you need a quick and easy lasagna recipe and this one is it. I have several recipes I use for lasagna, but this one is one of the quicker, more time efficient choices.

You will need the following for your ingredients list:

1 lb. ground beef
2-26 oz cans spaghetti sauce (not chunky style)
15 oz. Ricotta cheese
1 tsp. oregano
1 egg
8-10 lasagna noodles
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

Mixing and Baking Directions:

Brown your ground beef and drain. Add 1 1/2 cans of sauce. In another bowl combine ricotta cheese, oregano, and egg. Begin layering in 9X13 pan, 1/2 cup meat sauce, 1/2 of noodles, 1/2 ricotta cheese mix, 1/2 mozzarella, then repeat. Top it with remaining meat sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Cover pan with foil and place in refrigerator overnight. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

I like to add 1/2 lb. sausage to mine to give it more flavor. It really makes a big difference taste wise. I then just deduct 1/2 lb. of hamburger if I choose to make it this way.

Hope you enjoy!
