The IntelliPort Plus supports a wide range of environments including Windows NT, SCO OpenServer and UnixWare, Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems. The IntelliPort Plus is I/O mapped which completely eliminates the need for host system DMA (Direct Memory Access). These cards ensure 100% compatibility with host caching. Computone's use of I/O mapping prevents the difficulty of configuring memory space in fully populated systems. Performance levels and reliability of data integrity is guaranteed with designed bi-directional 64 byte FIFO architecture with advanced hardware flow control. Computone has designed the IntelliPort Plus cards with built-in reliability for years of error free operation. The IntelliPort Plus incorporates advanced surface mount technology and Computone custom designed high-density ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) chips. The IntelliPort Plus is available with DB25 interfaces, RJ45 interfaces or fan out cables with DB25 connectors.
