...Preface = Everyone loves to personalise things. Whether it be modifying their car, house, desk at work... and even their mobile phones. So why, you are probably wondering, am I talking about this while I am writing a infrared adapter opinion? Well let us focus on the mobile phone personalising idea, and talk a little about customised ringtones, logos, picture messages... yep, now your getting it... right? When I purchased my Nokia 8210 mobile phone I was already aware of its ability to store customised ringtones, picture messages, caller group pictures, operator logos and start-up logos. What with the 8210's addition of an infrared port, almost immediately I started searching for an Infrared port that I could connect to my PC and would allow me to customise everything. Just place your Infra-Red device infront of the unit and it picks it straight up. Simply send or receive your files at will. RELIABILITY Although I have this I also have Bluetooth USB adapter which I prefer to use as it doesn’t have to sit on the desk just in the back of the PC. I also find the connection doesn’t drop off with the Bluetooth one like it does on the USB one. INSTRUCTION MANUAL Does it’s job and tells you exactly what to do. MANUFACTURER SUPPORT Not had to use it but all the contact details are in the manual. ...I got this phone about 4 months ago second hand, and I have to say I was very impressed. Being the first Walkman phone released by Sony Ericsson I wasn't expecting much, but I was wrong.
