Review of Indianapolis Colts by jtbull46

Advantages: Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, Marvin Harriosn
Disadvantages: need some help on defense

The Indianapolis Colts are The NFL professional football team from Indiana and compete in the American football South Conference. They have won five NFL championships and two Super Bowl Championships including their defeat of the Chicago Bears in 2007. The Colts orgionally were from Baltimore, Maryland but moved in the middle of the night to Indianapolis in 1984. They sucked at first in and made really did not do much with the draft until they drafted ...
...onto good times and have been a solid playoff team and challenge for the championship every year. There are people that think that the Jags will knock them off this year, but I do not see that happening. The start of the franchise return to glory was a brief taste at the end of the 1990's with Jim Harbaugh having a rebirth in the NFL and winning a passing title. In 1998 the team drafted Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning with the first pick. They ... Read review

Advantages Great sport
Disadvantages Complicated

...than all bar one of the previous 41 Superbowls, and for one main reason. The New England Patriots were set to become the first team since 1972 to go completely undefeated in a season. All they had to do was win the Superbowl against the New York Giants, a team whose regular season record was low, giving them the hardest run to the Superbowl, and who seemed to have got there against all odds and by the skin of their teeth. The Patriots have a team full of superstars, household names in the States such as Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Teddy Bruschi, Junior Seau and Mike Vrabel, to name but a few. The Giants have a couple of big names such as Michael Strahan, a 15-year veteran of the game, and Plaxico Burress (what a name!) but that's about it. And thus, with last year's Superbowl MVP (Most Valuable Player), Indianapolis Colts' Peyton Manning sitting... Read review

Advantages Some great OTT entertainment
Disadvantages Not so easy to see these days

...not happened so much since because in the mid 90's players were granted freedom of contract and clubs like Tampa Bay and Baltimore could effectively "buy" themselves a Superbowl, by signing the best players on short-term contracts. Hey Chelsea, does this sound familiar? Even so the most successful team of recent years has been the New England Patriots, who've won three titles in four years. One of the funny things about the game is that teams can move around from city to city almost overnight. For instance there used to be a team in Baltimore called the Colts, who moved to Indianapolis in 1983. They then moved to Cleveland and called themselves the Browns, replacing the old Cleveland Browns who moved to Baltimore and called themselves the Ravens. Confused? You betcha. Los Angeles Rams uprooted themselves in 1994 and moved... Read review

More than just the 500!
Review of Indianapolis by frkurt taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages More than meets the eye
Disadvantages Often overlooked

...Most people tend to think of Indianapolis in relation to the sporting events that take place here (the Indianapolis 500, Pacers, Colts, an increasing number of others), and tend to overlook some very interesting and historical parts of the city right in the centre. Here are a few of the more interesting spots in Indianapolis that tend to be neglected. * * * * * One such overlooked place is Christ Church Cathedral, on the Circle (which is dominated by the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument) -- a small but grand cathedral in very American architectural style. Indianapolis itself was first settled as a town in 1821; shortly thereafter churches began to be built. The first Christ Church Episcopal building was erected as a small wooden church in 1838; this was demolished and the present building begun in 1857. It was designated... Read review
