......Introduction...
I first heard of IndiaArie when I saw her on Later With Jools Holland when she released this album in 2001. She was born
IndiaArie Simpson on October 3, 1975 in Denver Colorado, her father Ralph Simpson was an NBA Player and her mother Joyce was a former singer herself.
India started having an interest in music at an early age and she pretty soon started learning to play various instruments. Though She is most well known for playing the guitar. She was discovered by a motown executive in 1999 and two years later released her debut album Acoustic Soul.
...India's voice...

Advantages Uplifting and easy to listen to Disadvantages none

Advantages Cool laid back tunes Disadvantages some tracks are a bit similar
... I bought this album because I heard one of the tracks on a film called Brown Sugar, I wasn't sure if i would like any of the other tracks but i've rarely had it out of my cd player since, this is the first album i've had that you can listen to all the way through since Jagged Little Pill (Alanis Morrissette). Most of the tracks are really laid back soul tunes, but there are a couple of upbeat tracks on there, and on the bonus album there's a coulple of live tracks thrown in including brown skin. Shot to your heart is a really nice track to listen to and the whole album is really good to lay back and listen to in the bath. I would reccomend this cd to all girls and R&B lovers ...
