Manufacturer's product description

The larger diameter Nikon WC-E63 optional wide angle lens blocks the TTL strobe control sensor on the camera. This would make use of a strobe very difficult. A special smaller diameter optional wide-angle lens and adapter is available from Ikelite for this application, converting the 38mm Coolpix lens to 26mm.

Advantages Good quality product
Disadvantages Heavy when taking abroad

...traveling abroad. Ikelite PCa Lite This is my back up torch and as such is small enough to fit in my BC pocket. It comes in a range of colours and I opted for the bright green version mainly because it was that or pink and I already a pink knife which is the butt of many a joke. The PC Series is an innovative new design with a unique clamp system for ease in opening and closing. Brilliant intensity is provided by Halogen bulbs specially designed for Ikelite and the power source is provided by six AA batteries which provide a burn time of between 1.5 to 2 hours. The PCa provides incredible intensity and beam pattern for shorter periods of time and is an excellent small torch which punches well above its weight. I have used this torch on night dives in the Red Sea and it has provided more than adequate light for spotting the reefs... Read review

Review of Canon XM2 camcorder - Mini DV by gnipping taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Excellent lens quality, clear image, good colour reproduction, manual overrides, colour viewfinder
Disadvantages Not brilliant in low light, mic could be better, not HD

...settings to optimize recording events/music, voices, and a windshield that helps to cut out wind noise against the mic. All in all it is ok, but if you are picky about your sound I suggest you get yourself an external powered mic to avoid the possibility of picking up the tape motor sound when filming in quiet locations. This really isn’t too noticeable unless like me you intend to take the camera underwater. Once it is secured inside my IKELITE housing it can’t help but pick up the whirr from the motor. Because of the headphone style jack used for inputting from an external mic you would need to purchase a switching box to plug in professional XLR mics, however I have found the RODE videomic to be an excellent alternative. Powered by a 9v battery this cartoid mic really improves the sound reproduction of the XM2 and brings it much closer... Read review
