...I've used this monitor for 6 months having bought one on the back of an excellent review in PC Pro. I have not been disappointed. The colours are excellent, the brightness good and the speed of response likewise. Whether the monitor is used for simple spreadsheet work, or watching DVDs, there is no blurring and text is well-defined. Like any TFT screen the 431S must be used at its native resolution of 1280x1024. Prospective buyers of any similar screen should view the image before buying, especially if you find readingsmall text difficult. The Iiyama has a DVI input and standard Usub connection. I use the DVI input which is marginally better but have also tried the moregeneric connection and it works OK too. Put this monitor on your list of choices when buying a 17" TFT and try to see the monitor in action before buying.... Read review

...This is the older version of Iiyama's Pro Lite series, with a 16ms response time. I bought mine about a year ago, and it has been excellent in all respects except gaming. With a slow response time of 16 ms, I have experienced much "ghosting" (Slow update of the picture) in all my game. This may not be notable to all people however, as different people have different sensitivity to this kind of thing. Iiyama has since I bought my screen however released newer version of the Pro Lite 431 screen, which can also be found here on Ciao.co.uk. This version of the screen is now out of production, and when I bought it is cost me about £300. Since then TFT's have decreased massively in price, and you can find the latest version of the Pro Lite screen for around £200. It also has a 8ms response time, which should make games look better.
