It has a nice old fashion look that I really like. It is real easy to use and the ice cream really taset good. It was easy to clean and maintain. I got this as a gift, and since I'm not much of a chef, I thought, ok, here's another kitchen appliance to just take up space. But, unless you're making a frozen custard (requiring heating of egg yolks), it can't get any easier. The only recipe I've used from the enclosed book is the one for vanilla, which was great.
