...I purchased an iBook around June 2002 (the spec can be found at the bottom) and these are my views after working with Apple's baby for nearly a year and a half. I'm a Mac Monkey first and formost and hae been working in design with Apples for five years. The Apple iBook, perfect for the home/business user I worked the iBook into the ground, and it performed all the way. As a web designer I used hardware demanding applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Dreamweaver to name but a few and it done the job. I tested it's capabiliies to the max and to be completely honest after a year it gave up; it went back to Apple and was back on my desk in three days, fixed, needless to say it's treated with a bit more care now and still does me fine.
