My friend went out and purchased this recently and he said it was a great price for the system. It only took about ten minutes to hook every thing up and along the walls. This system was my first experience with home surround sound. I paid $179 at Circuit City and was very impressed that it came with the speakers and all. It does not have an integrated DVD player like most of the units in that price range and that was a big reason I purchased this unit. It comes with optical outs on the unit, a coax plug-in and multiple s-video plug-ins. It really surprised that it had optical outs because most units cost much more ...
...unit, it doesn't work very well with other equipment. It seems to be pretty powerful for an inexpensive system and I have switched out the speakers with bookshelf speakers for a little more audio range. The sub-woofer leaves a lot to be desired but that can be changed out pretty easily. I took some ones advice and bought one of these for my own home and it works so good. It only took about 15 mins. to install it wherever I wanted it. It souns so nice and clear and makes my tv sound so much better. It is very nice. It is not hard to work at all and it has several speakers that I got to place on all my walls too. If you are looking for a cheap but a very nice home theater system then you will really like this one. It has very good sound which is very clear. You have several speakers that you can place along the walls with out any trouble. It is very easy to install and hook to your tv set.
