Manufacturer's product description
The Linoscan 2200 is the multi-talent among the A3 desktop scanners. No matter whether large or small-format originals, color or black and white, halftone or negative originals are to be processed, the Linoscan 2200 always provides top results. Sophisticated technology and powerful software ensure that professional scans are made from framed slides to A3+ originals. The integrated transparency unit allows originals of up to 305 x 432 mm to be processed both in the reflection mode and in the transparency mode. An optical resolution of 800 x 1600 dpi for A3 formats and a data width of 42 bits (14 bits per pixel and color) BET yield a consistent, high color scan quality. When used with the optimum software package, this scanning technology will show its real capacity. Therefore, the Linoscan 2200 comes either with Linocolor Elite for the Power Macintosh or with Newcolor 5000, the new scanning and repro software for Windows 98 SE and Windows NT. Both software packages feature the integrated Color Assistant which helps the user in making the essential scanner parameter settings. Thus, highlight and shadow, contrast and chromaticity as well as colorcast removals can be controlled automatically, without a problem. The supplied ICC profiles, along with the ICC profiles generated with Scanopen, ensure true-to-color image reproduction, from the scan to the printed result.
