The Linoscan 1400 runs in Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT operating systems as well as in Apple operating systems. This flexibility enables professional working results in any workflow. The Linoscan 1400, with its high optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi and a signal resolution of 42 (3 x 14) bits (BET) per pixel element is the top scanner in its class. The integrated transparency unit allows the scanner to process format originals up to 216 x 297 mm for reflective and 216 x 254 mm for transparency.
