Working the second shift I have found it hard to listen to louder music when I'm awake! I live in an apartment in a city so blaring the house stereo and two in the morning on a weekday is out of the question if you don't want a visit from the police!! These headphone are nice to have but are expensive. My step daughter got her a pair because the other kinds she use began hurting her ears. These do not hurt her ears and they are static free. She can hear her music so clear that I some times ask to use them. They are not hard to maintain and keep in good shape.
