Big ears, best pick
Review of Sony MDR V700DJ - headphones by Hornmaster

Advantages: Durability, quality, look, sound, features
Disadvantages: relatively big (minor disadvantag)

Since some years, I have been working more or less as a DJ. Here is my experience about my second headphones. My Usage There are two ways I use this headphone. One is at home, listening to movies or music. The other usage is to mix records live. Advantages The headphones are big enough to cover the ear. But they are not completely closed, anyway, they have an excellent coise cancellation. Like that, you can hear your pre-mix channel ...
...its 30 mm driver. The cord is a spiral cord with 5 meters length - long enogh to have a drink at the bar and still be in touch with your mix. Another good thing is that you can turn around one of the earpads and like that, you can listen to the music on only one ear very comfortably. Many other DJ headphones don't have this feature. The plug is covered with gold, and it has a 3,5 mm and a 6,3 mm plug - best for all kind of mixers. The adapter is ... Read review

can use on lots of things
Review of Sony MDR V150 - headphones by renee

Advantages: does not have static or hurt ears
Disadvantages: nothing really

My neice had got a pair of these head phones for a gift with a cd player too. She said that they do not hurt her ears either. The are very nice and compatiable to use on different devices as well. They are very easy to use and are really cheap. When the music comes out it is coming out very clear and does not have any kind of static at all. She uses them on her cd player to cut grass and to go waling. It is a plain looking design or I think so. She ... Read review

Best headphones I have ever bought.
Review of Sony MDR 7506 - headphones by Sebastien

Advantages: Amazing sound quality, comfortable, portable, durable
Disadvantages: None.

...as a replacement for my Sony MDR-V600 after much research for good quality headphones. Let me tell you, these are the best headphones I have ever used and a step up from the MDR-V600. If you want quality headphones, the MDR-7506 are what you're looking for. Here's a breakdown: Pros: -Amazing sound quality -No background noise: Once these are on your head, you will not hear what's happening around you. -Comfortable: I wear these for hours without ...
...only problem I've had with Sony headphones (besides for the breaking plastic on the V600) is the cord. With the V600, I kept rolling over the cord with my chair and the outside part of the cord (not the wire inside) split in a few places. Even after all that, they still work great. The cord looks pretty much the same on the MDR-7506 but I'm keeping it off the floor this time. ... Read review

One of the cheapest, but one of the best
Review of Sony MDR W08L - headphones by Spidey106

Advantages: Get the entire full crisp sound in YOUR ear, and not bother others
Disadvantages: None

I remember when I first borrowed these headphones from a friend of mine... and in anticipation for a 3 week Australia trip I was taking that summer, knew these were the headphones I HAD to have... this was in 2001. You see all these bulky, ear-hugging so called great sounding headphones for the best portable performance... when it just isn't the case. Now I'm the type of person who doesn't go for that intense bass sound... I'm sorry, but I actually ...
...Being a music oriented person in general, I wanted the type of headphones that delivered a clear pure sound well enough to hear every type of sound produced in your track. It's the main reason why I purchased these way back then. The best feature though in my opinion, is the fact that the actual "speaker" is contoured to hug the inner portion of your ear and actually produce the sound "in" your ear for the full sound, as supposed to surrounding ...
