These headphones were well worth the money. I purchased these for use with my Ipod. I took them with me on a flight to Aruba and was so pleased by the volume they can perform at and how they can block out other noises ( like a crying child). These were my very first good quality headphones and I still love them. In terms of sound quality, they were exactly what i was looking for. As far as durability goes, not as much but keep in mind that I used these headphones just about everyday for 2 years and very long hours. ...only problem I've had with Sony headphones (besides for the breaking plastic on the V600) is the cord. With the V600, I kept rolling over the cord with my chair and the outside part of the cord (not the wire inside) split in a few places. Even after all that, they still work great.
