Advantages: Super comfortable, amazing sound quality Disadvantages: Can break easily, cord splits easily.
These were my very first good quality headphones and I still love them. In terms of sound quality, they were exactly what i was looking for. As far as durability goes, not as much but keep in mind that I used these headphones just about everyday for 2 years and very long hours. Here's a breakdown:
Pros:
-Amazing sound quality
-Very comfortable: I wore these for hours without even noticing them. Still my favorite headphones in terms of comfort.

-Took a beating and still work great
Cons:
-Plastic broke off on one of the cans after a couple years of everyday use which made the can hang loose.
-Cord got split in a few spots but it still works.
-Bulky, heavier than other models out there. ...

...decided on these headphones from Altec Lansing because they received really good reviews from buyers. They were a little expensive at $85.00, but I felt like I got a good deal because the retail price for these are $199.00. I don't mind spending a little extra on something that I use on a daily basis. I ordered these and immediately plugged them into my iPod and was amazed at what I have been missing while using the original headphones. Using these ... ...into your ears. You can hear every note of every lyric super clear and you feel like you are right in front of the band while they play. It is almost awkward to listen to music now because it sounds so much different from before.
I wanted a pair of headphones that would cancel out background noise and not fall out of my ears while I workout. These do an excellent job of those two things. I no longer have to listen to some 300lb guy grunting beside ...

I first saw these headphone on a plane, while reading the SkyMall magazine and I though that they would be perfect for me because I hate noisey plane rides and for other places also. The next day I ordered them online and as soon as I recived them I tried them out, I plugged them into my iPod and sat next to my TV and tuned the volume on the TV up all the way it can go. Without them it was loud to my ears then I turned them and with them it had eliminated ... ...the job done. The sound quality is better than the normal headphones that the iPod comes with. Mine came with the headphones, travel case, and two batteries. I recent experience I had was when I had to travel through air, and during the plane ride a family has sat in the row in front of me and they had a baby that had clearly never flew on a plane before, She was crying the whole way but thankfully I had these headphone and the got the job done. ...
