Sennheiser cx 300 is first generation IEM that developed by sennheiser, it's so popular and it shares same sound signature like senn hd202 IMHO. This IEM is bass heavy, but too bad, the bass response isn't really good. The bass is too much for me, it's boomy and overshadowed mids and highs frequency. The vocal sounds laid-back and the highs doesn't sounds good neither, cymbals sounds muffled for me. Even so, senn cx300 is far better than stock earbuds, ...
...my opinion, if you can get this cheap in online store, this product is worth to buy, especially for bass-head, but if it's too expensive (more than 50$), you should look for another IEM, like creative ep-630 that sounds almost same with cx300. I bought these headphones as a replacement for ear buds and have not been happier. The sound quality is just great, especially for music, because the bass really stands out. I personally think that is awesome. I have not heard any cracks or loss of sound while wearing these headphones. So I am quite happy with the sound quality. ...don't hurt my ears or around my ears at all. The shape of the ear pieces fits my ears perfectly, and the padding makes it comfortable. It doesn't block out any outside sound which is the only negative, but turning up the volume can easily do that. These headphones seem to support a really high volume. (Just don't go too high!)
