The Hamilton Beach 47224 is a coffeemaker I would love to call my own. I was fortunate to have a friend that has one at the school where I work. I absolutely love its features:
• Ease of use: less mess with filters and filling with water were easier than mine at home.
• Did not have to purchase special filters
• Easy to read function buttons and water fill line
• Since coffee was not "open" to the air, less foreign items entered coffee…i.e. dust, germs=clean and hot coffee
• Coffee maker was in an out of the way place in the room, but even safer with the enclosed unit
• One had access was wonderful and quick
• Coffee was kept hot without having that over brewed taste after having it sit on the heating pad all day
• I loved the overall look of the coffeemaker…I want one for my kitchen at home!
It did take a little longer to brew 12 cups than some others would, but considering the taste and other features, the extra waiting time was well worth it!!!
• My birthday is in August, so guess what is on my list.
