I have owned this grill for over a year. We have used it for numerous things. Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches are quick and easy to make. Great for a dorm room or any kitchen when you can't grill outdoors. It works along the lines of other grills, with a slanted bottom grill that allows fat and grease to run off into a drip tray.
It's not as big as I wanted so if making larger quantities of food, it takes more than one round at it. It will hold four chicken breasts though and that's good for the meat part of the menu. I also like to grill veggies to go with the meal and sometimes it just takes longer. A family favorite is lemon pepper chicken. With boneless, skinless chicken breasts, this is a healthy, low fat, tasty dish. I also grill asparagus and mushrooms on the grill to go with. Peppers grill up nicely too.
It's relatively easy to clean. I just dampen a paper towel and place it between the two grills while it is still hot. The steam loosens most of the mess and then I just wipe it clean. It cooks evenly. So far has no safety issues. The drip tray is dishwasher safe.
It's okay for the price. I own a different grill that I use more frequently because of the amount of food I am cooking. This little grill is perfect for lunch or light meals. Quick and easy for grilled sandwiches. I also do quesadillas using a flour tortilla and lots of cheese. This grill heats both sides quickly and easily.
Both of my grills are stored in a cabinet because they take up too much counter space in my little kitchen...
All things considered, it's a great little grill.
