I bought this A/C last year at the end of summer. Actually I bought 2 of them because the price was inrcedicble. 199.00 for the 9000 btu and 150.00 for the 7000 btu markdown at Target!!! These units are wonderful. Although they do need to be vented, the venting system is hardly noticable in your window. Much better then having a big ugly window conditioner hanging off your house LOL. I have the 9000 in my livingroom and it cools the entire room, at night I wheel it into the hallway and it keeps all 3 bedrooms at a nice cool temp for sleeping on those hot summer nights. The 7000 is in my family room and on those really hot, sweltering days you can sit in there with a sweatshirt on and still be chilly. I'm a bargain hunter and always wait for the sales. This was one of the best purchases I ever made. The units are very nice looking and fit in with any decor in your house. Being able to roll them around (vent hose permitting) is great. If you use a window that centrally located, you will beneift the most being able to move this around where it's needed. Also, if you don't bolt the plastic piece that fits in your window and just secure it with duct tape, you can move this unit to any room that has a window very easily. It's quiet and needs minimal cleaning. The water evaporates, so there is no need to keep checking to make sure the water doesn't overflow from condensation. Unlike the dripping water that comes out of a window A/C. If you're in the market for an A/C this is the one to get. If you can survive this summer without one, get to Targets as the end of the season like I did. $358.00 for 2 of these units, you can't even buy the 9000 btu for under 400.00 at normal price. This was a steal!!!!!
