Good Camera for Beginning Photographers!
Review of HP PhotoSmart M425 by Fancyface

Advantages: Loads of features, easy to operate.
Disadvantages: Pictures do not upload to computer in order. Memory card sold separately.

I received this camera as a Christmas present from my husband in 2006. He bought it for me because I wanted a digital camera for work. I am a Real Estate agent, and I take a lot of pictures of the houses that I list, and I also make my own virtual tours for the internet. I do not know exactly why my husband picked this particular camera. However, knowing him, it had something to do with the price. He is not a technological expert, so any information ...
...his head (and mine, too). For those of you who do understand the technical language, it has 5.0 megapixel resolution, and a 3X optical zoom lens. There is a built in flash, with automatic red eye removal. The effective flash range is 12.5 feet. I do not know if any of this is good, average or bad, but it has satisfied me completely. The camera has a help menu built in which has been great. It answers many questions you may have and also includes ... Read review

Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: None

This stuff very nice, It's very easy to use, the instructions are in plain English and it takes good pictures. If you're a budding David Bailey then this isn't for you but for the average Joe it does the job. i took it with me on a Snowboarding Holiday and the auto setting worked a treat - also managed to take some good video clips with the click to start, click to finish function. My favourite thing about this is the delete button - my previous ... Read review

Advantages Takes great photos
Disadvantages Batteries

...cartridges (rather than the cheaper equivalents) and these cost around £15.99 depending on where you shop. Software: The camera also comes with HP software to supposedly help you edit your photos further, however after loading it onto my computer I didn't really find that it was much use for me, also it didn't really agree with my system (I'm running Windows Vista so that could be the problem). I promptly removed the software, as I have a different editing software which I prefer (Paint Shop Pro), plus all the editing I need to do with my photos is available on the camera itself. Attaching your camera to your computer is very easy, and hopefully, the computer should recognise the new hardware and install the driver for you. I found this a very quick and easy option (rather than having all the HP software on my computer). Overall... Read review

Advantages 5MP, Easy to Use, Large Viewfinder, Very easy video facility
Disadvantages

...Picked this up in a deal including a printer. It's very easy to use, the instructions are in plain English and it takes good pictures. If you're a budding David Bailey then this isn't for you but for the average Joe it does the job. i took it with me on a Snowboarding Holiday and the auto setting worked a treat - also managed to take some good video clips with the click to start, click to finish function. My favourite thing about this is the delete button - my previous camera required a long drawn out process - here you simply click the bin button, confirm and its gone. Since buying this camera I've been a much more active taker of pictures and am enjoying finding out more about digital photography in general. ... Read review

Advantages everything you need
Disadvantages except for a memory card

...I got this product two christmases ago complete with th a430 photosmart printer. The concept behind this is fantastic, with the addition of a sd memory card you are ready to go. The camera docks into the printer to enable you to print photos and also to charge the supplied batteries. The latter is sometimes problematic according to the hp website the printer detects the energy left in the battery if the batteries are run down the printer assumes they are none rechargeable and refuses to charge them. According to the website you should buy new batteries by my bodge it solution is to leave them in your pocket till they are nice warm, then hey presto they charge again. Anyway back to the product the camera is nice and useful and the pictures are of very good quality especially at short ranges and longer ranges the pictures lose some... Read review
