...i am becoming a bit of a fan of hp. they keep making reliable, inexpensive and quality prodcts. i wanted a camera that did more than i needed; initially to ensure that boredom didn't set in too early and also so that i can use the camera for more than i thought possible. this camera meets every one of my needs. it has a resolution far higher than i think ill ever need and coupled with the 8x optical zoom (a feature that my previous camera lacked) i could take high quality images of objects that were quite a distance away. this camera gives the user an advanced level of useability, there is the standard, auto-everything mode where you just have to point and shoot but there is also the possibility of more. the focous, shutter speed and apperature are all easily controled manually which can give the user total control over the picture... ...This camera is not one that you can slip into your pocket or bag due to its size, but if you want high quality photo's this is definately a camera to go for. The 8x optical zoom combined with the 7x digital zoom (total zoom 56x) means that you can achieve fantastic pictures from a distance. The picture quality from this camera is excellent, with 5.3MP resolution. The range of features is impressive with video clip option included. The software supplied with the camera is easy to use and downloading the pictures to PC is easy. All in all a top camera with the only downside being it's size. I've used a few digital camera's and this camera produces the best pictures I have seen.... Read review

HP Photosmart (My thoughts)

...If you want a compact digital camera then this is not for you. The HP Photosmart 945 is a big bulky camera with a good bit of weight in it, which for me was a plus point. When taking this camera out of the box i wondered how i would work it out but thanks to an excellent guide book which explains all you need to know very easily and also includes many easy to follow pictures to get you going. The optical zoom is 8X which gives excellent photo print outs at A4 size (i use HP Photosmart 7150 printer) I thought by using the digital zoom (7X) there would be a great loss of print out quality but again excellent quality prints can be achieved at 7X5 print outs. There is an option to connect this camera to your HP printer and print out straight away as well, which i have not used, prefering to transfer the photos onto my pc first... Read review
