It is very loud! You can hardly think about what you are doing on the computer over the noise. This hp desktop also does not have very much ram/ or memory. However it does have a nice a really easy access (on the front) to SD memory card port, DX (Olympus memory card) port, Smart media port, compact flash port, MMC, MS, MSS, MS Pro, but only one USB ports in the front. There are also four USB ports in the back. Except for the jump drive ports you don't always have to go crawling around the back of the PC. After three years of use the power buttons sticks and does not want to pop back out. The DVD writer works really well, if you can get the programs to work. This really only comes with the basic Windows XP package.
