Advantages: easy listened song Disadvantages: not easy enough with stick controller
The most satisfied game among Guitar Hero series I think. All songs here are easy-listened.For example Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana,Monkey Wrench by Foo Fighters,Sweet Child O'Mine by Gun N Roses,Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold, etc. You will be able to play 40 songs to complete this game, which are devided to 8 songs section played at 8 different arenas. Each section consists of 5 songs, includes 1 encore that must be beaten to go to next section ... ...on your stick or your guitar controller.Don't get too much mistake or the parameter will decrease and you will fail the songs. There are certain notes that you must strike in order to fulfill the star point. If your star point is full, activate it by press select button. You will get higher point in every note you beat and parameter will increase rapidly.
By the way,the hardest part for me is the last songs,Free Bird,a melodic song. Its duration is the ...

Advantages: Great graphics, smooth operation, awsome bonus songs, great game in general Disadvantages: No Cooperative Career Mode
Guitar Hero II for Playstation 2 is a great game. Accompanied with a wireless guitar (sold seperately) makes the game experience 10 times better.
There is only one thing bad about this game, and that is that there is no Cooperative Career Mode. So, no rocking it out with your friends other than in Head-to-Head mode. Guitar Hero II brings something new to the table with the ability to play Rythm, Bass, or Lead and prove yourself to be the Guitar ... ...money.
In the first Guitar Hero there wasn't any way to practice those tricky spots of songs, but now, in Guitar Hero II, you can select any song and any section to practice. This is an awsome new addition that makes this game soooo much better than the first, and worth every penny.
I give this game an "Excellent" rating when it comes to playability, sound, graphics, entertainment, and every other subject that makes a game a game. ...

Advantages: Read on they are all in the review. Disadvantages: Clicking and tapping sounds.....big deal! could use more songs though.
...and clicking noise the little guitar makes, you don't realize that that means your child is now learning hand to eye coordination, another BIG PLUS. Reason number 3: Back to that tapping and clicking again, well there is something in music called rhythm, and while your child has no clue they are learning this, they are forced to use properly timed rhythm in order to get a high score. This is a BIG PLUS. Before you know it your child or perhaps even ... ...is capable of more, well guitar hero has that in the bag. I hear her groan, stomp, and yell at the ceiling when her fingers don't do what she wants them to, (moderately of course) but guess what....within a few minutes i hear that LOVELY tapping and clicking again because she wants that next song and has learned the only way to get it...is to push herself. I play guitar, bass, piano, and drums, and what i wouldn't have done to have a head start that ...

Fun to play Review ofGuitar Hero II for PS2by
renee
Advantages: graphics and sound Disadvantages: not really
...all. When you have the guitar to use it makes the game more fun. She really enjoys playing this game and stays on it for hours on end. It is really good for the eye and had coordination. The graphics really look real and it is real nice to play over and over. This is definitely a game I would recommend of the older kids and even their parents. It has great quality features. It is so worth the money that you spend on it. If not for the level but for ...

Advantages: good soundtrack, practice mode, really fun to play Disadvantages: some songs on Expert mode seem impossible
...You do not have to be familiar with the first GuitarHero to be able to play this game. All you have to know is that the guitar controller has five multicolored fret buttons and a strum bar. When a note comes up on the screen, you must hit the same colored fret button and also the strum bar.
This game has a very cool soundtrack, including a song from Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Nirvana. In my opinion, it is the best soundtrack out of all of the GuitarHero games.
Depending on your performance, you can win cash so you are able to buy more songs, characters, guitars, etc which all my friends get a kick out of. Personally, the only thing I ever cared about was buying more songs! Everything else is for the band which you cannot watch if you want to hit the notes.
Just like the first GuitarHero, this game has you pick which level you...

Advantages: Hands-Free Star Power/Overdrive and Whammy Disadvantages: Requires 4AA Batteries, Breaks Easily
...Product: React Standalone Pedal for PlayStation 2
Model: RT2900
SKU: 8633464
This product was tested on a PS2 on the following games: GuitarHero, GuitarHeroII, GuitarHero III, GuitarHero Encore Rock the 80s, and Rock Band.
We purchased two of these units and thought this would be great because we could engage Star Power/Overdrive and use the Whammy hands-free.
The pedal was great, for two or three songs and then the whammy pedal stopped working. We tested it on all five games we own to make sure it wasn't just a particular game it didn't work with. The whammy did not work using the pedal OR the guitar controller. The Star Power/Overdrive still worked, however. Just the Whammy function did not work.
We are not "heavy" players...one of us plays Easy and the other plays Medium...so we don't believe it was due to "pounding...
