Gloria Estefan or Gloria Fajardo (her maiden last name) is a Cubean singer that she went out of Cuba by politics problems that I don't describe. In music she was knowdlegde in the Group Miami Sound Mavchine when Emilio Estefan (her actual husband) leader it, beeing one of the two women singer at the end of the seventies and begging of the eighties with ballad and latin music for example Iremmember all of them in Spanish language. At the middle ...
...Miami Sound Machine ended and Gloria Estefan began a solist singer with ballad and many romantic things, but with the album "Mi tierra" (My land) Gloria Estefan sang with Cubeans musica as Son, Mambo, Bolero, telling as her wishes for going back to Cuba someday. One of the last singles that I had heard was "Hoy" of the Peruvian Compouser Gianmarco in Spanish and English and the Alvum "90 millas" (90 miles) (90 miles is the distance La Havana Miami) ... Review of Anything For You - Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine by skatelongandprosper taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages you will own it forever
Disadvantages you will eventually play to death

...The opinion I am writing about is Gloria Estefans, "Anything For You". I like this song because it was my first special song for me and my first girlfriend Gill when I was 15. We listened to it a lot during that year it was sort of an incentitive to keep talking and loving each other. I bought this song because I wanted to remember her for we broke up a year later. We drifted apart and ran out of things to say to each other, in other words ironically we stopped talking funny hey how things work out. I moved away to look after my alcoholic grandad with my mum and dad and well.... It was too far away from her so she finished with me :-(.. It's the type of song that reminds you of the good old days. Sort of like a walk down memory lane. When I saw this song listed on Ciao I knew I had to write about it. My days... Read review

LOVE LOST AND FOUND
Review of Destiny - Gloria Estefan by fantasybeliever taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Great vocals, excellent lyrics
Disadvantages One or two weak tracks

...This is my first venture into the world of the album review, so please be gentle with me! However, I would really appreciate some feedback via comments to know what I could improve for future reference. Forgive me for quoting lyrics from each individual track, but given that it’s the lyrics that make this album special for me, I felt it important to include them. I could describe my music tastes as “eclectic”, but I’ll stick to saying they’re just very middle of the road and somewhat varied, with a penchant for strong female vocalists – e.g. Dido, Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet, Gloria Estefan, to name but a few. I like what I like and make no excuses for it. I came across the album “Destiny” by Gloria Estefan several years ago. In fact, I think I bought it in some kind of boot sale type thing at work. I’ve no regrets though... Read review

Gloria - where's your doctor beat?
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.1 - Gloria Estefan by michellej taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages
Disadvantages

...Yes, when I first heard that tune 'Doctor Beat', I thought, my word - she's not going to get very far is she? Well, I guess I was badly wrong becuase quite a few people out there like her! This album was given to me from an ex-husband, and you know how we don't like to play those type of things. But then again, I want to keep it because I might want to listen to it one day! The only tracks that I like on this album are 'Conga', 'Word's get in the way', 'Don't wanna lose you' and 'Coming out of the Dark'. Apart from those few, I would tend to click through the rest. OOOps - sorry Gloria! However, for the average Gloria Estefan fan, this would be an ideal album to have.... Read review
