My girlfriend and I bought each other this GPS for christmas and we both love it. This thing is a life saver. Before having this, I used to have to print out directions from Mapquest.com which meant if i ever got lost I had no way to get back on track and I had to try reading the directions off of a piece of paper while keeping my eyes on the road at the same time...so inconvenient. If you don't have a GPS yet, I definitely recommend getting one, it makes such a difference. I even use it when i'm going to places I usually go to just to see if there's a quicker way of getting there.
After doing a lot of research we decided to go with the Garmin Nuvi 650. It was the cheapest one with the most features we wanted. We are both very happy with it!
Pros:
-Nice big 4.3-inch display -Tells you street names (some other models will not give tell you street names) -Lots of points of interest and you can add more if you wanted to -Very easy to use -You can store pictures -Has an MP3 player
Cons:
-Sometimes you got to wait a bit for it to find your location even with a clear sky. -When I tried using it in NYC, it had trouble finding our location because of all the tall buildings and when it did find our location, it would sometimes be off by a block or so...
