Advantages: You'll never get lost again! Disadvantages: sometimes freezes but is easily reset
I love my Garmin! After moving to a new city, it greatly helped me get around without getting lost everytime I left my house. It has great features that you can change and is very easy to use. I love the different voice selections and the turn by turn directions so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. The only downfalls I have found have been the mount never stays put on the windshield and eventually I had to replace it and the power cord ...

Advantages: saves previous directions, easy to use, great search feature Disadvantages: voice spoken directions are slow and caused me to miss a couple turns
Simple and Easy to use!!
When i go on business trips and I need a rental car I always make sure I get the GPS with it. This GPS is the one that is offered at Enterprise (I believe, I'm pretty sure, the rental company is slipping my mind.) and it's not very expensive to rent.
It is a must these days to have a GPS when on business trips. These handy dandy devices certainly help me get to where I need to go in a timely manner (which is a plus). I ... ...so if I have to go there again all I have to do is look it up in my previous directions section of the GPS. This product is actually a good price to get one of your own. For what you get and all the features it has it's totally worth it.
Another great plus is that you can look up places to go by catagories! I was in Anaheim, CA this year and I wanted Sushi really bad so I just looked up Restraurants and I typed in Sushi and it listed all the places ...

Advantages: Getting to your destination without any worries. Disadvantages: Haven't found any
...We recently upgraded to the Garmin StreetPilot C550 and it has been WONDERFUL!!
After using an outdated GPS from the Ice Age for so long, I didn't know how to act. My husband and I have a business to which we run appointments all over the state, especially in very rural counties where if your lost the closest living thing to get directions from is a cow. So far we have found every Appointment .
For those of you looking for a good quality, easy ... ...it works beautifully. It delivered 6 vacation needing adults to the sunny white sands of Florida with no problems, it finds you places to refuel both you and the car and places for the ladies to shop.
For those of you that multi-task while driving like us, you can't beat the added features of Bluetooth and the MP3 player that comes real handy for those who travel in areas that have absolutely no music stations....Good Luck in your search! ...

Advantages Text to Speech, Bluetooth, GTM Trafficmaster, MP3 Disadvantages In car connector a bit fiddly.
...Having just purchased the GarminStreetPilotc550t, as an upgrade to the nuvi 300. I have road tested it over the past few days, in differing locations, from wide open spaces to built up valley areas. I can say that this GPS performs superbly well and is a front runner for in car satelite navigation, at a great price. Having used TomTom, Mio, Navman and Garmin, I find there is no comparison, Garmin seem to be the current leader in GPS navigation and this has to be high on the "must have" list of gadgets. Very user friendly and easy to operate.
Working straight from the box, the satelite signal was locked on within a minute, from cold start, in a built up valley location The unit even picks up a clear signal indoors, (obviously I would not guarantee this for everyone). No flip-up antenna, which is a plus. Text to speech is a great...

Advantages small, good screen, easy software Disadvantages may be a little late to warn you of lane changes or exits.
...I've owned the Garmin Streetpilot for a while now and used it many times.
The unit comes with a holder and suction cup which can attach to the dash or the windscreen and the power cable is plenty long enough to reach the cigarette power socket. The Streetpilot also has a SD card which can be updated with maps from the internet.
The screen is quite a good size and touch sensitivity is responsive and acurate. I've never used it for speed camera locations so sorry i can't coment on this part.
It finds and locks onto the satelites pretty quick and once you've input your destination you can be on your way in a couple of minutes. I've mainly used postcodes to find a destination although the unit works pretty well with street names and numbers.
Where I have a problem with the software, is not showing you what turning you're gonna...
