Review of Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx - GPS receiver 60CSx 12 channel GPS receiver by
Example_superstar123
Advantages: size, userfriendly, all-purpose navigation
Disadvantages: pricing for device and maps, map-activation
The Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx is the extended Version of the GPSMAP 60 Cx. While the case is same size and format, the CSx shows up with a barometric altimeter and an electronic compass. I use it for several purposes. Traveling statistics, autorouting, topo/directions and waypoint navigation are those functions I mainly use. The intuitive interface helps to use the software without having to read the manual.
A basemap is installed ex factory, with the ... ...on 'bad roads'). Unfortunately, Garmin doesn't offer a mounting for motocycles, so I had to get a 3rd party retainer from Europe (Touratech)
The CSx 60 runs with 2AA batteries. Using powercables (not delivered), the device is able to run with external powersources (carbatteries) and is also able to deal with AA-rechargable batteries (has to be activated if you want to use it). lclabr
Advantages: gets you where you need to be. you will never be lost
Disadvantages: pre-loaded data can be very out of date, uploading new data is expensive

My only complaint is that some of the pre-loaded maps/data are very out of date (for example, on a road trip we were trying to find a particular fast food restaurant so we selected the nearest one on the GPS and once we got to the location all we found was a bank). Great GPS
Review of TomTom ONE 3rd Edition - GPS receiver 3rd Edition GPS receiver by
lindybrasher
Advantages: Small, Easy to use
Disadvantages: none
I have a friend that loves this GPS. He will not go anywhere without it. He continues to try to get me to buy one and even said he would buy another just so I could have his. He is impressed with its ability to get you anywhere and he says that he has not had one problem with it. If you take a wrong turn due to your mistake then it will get you right back on track. I have seen this product mounted in his car and it is not too big or too small. You ...
