Voice Commanded GPS
Review of Magellan Maestro 4250 by

Advantages: Voice Command
Disadvantages: Map updates, limited voice commands
I used it when I've rented a car equipped with it. Say a command to access the most used navigation functions with voice command feature. You can find the nearest restaurant, gas and ATM using 6 million preprogrammed Points of Interest or get an instant route home. Plus, you can ask for your location, the distance to your destination and quickly get details for the nearest roadside assistance.
Maestro 4250 has a large 4.3" color display and simple ... ...route to virtually anywhere in seconds. The intuitive interactive screen shows your route and position on the map, plus distance to destination, arrival time, street names and more. I can also store locations in the address book for easy navigation on next trips. If you set the home button to your home you can easily find the most direct way from wherever you are.
Ps. If you are planning to have a long trip do not forget to take car charger with ...

Magellan Maestro 4210 - a good GPS
Review of Magellan Maestro 4210 by
sivanj
Advantages: good, accurate
Disadvantages: might not work for all countries.
Magellan Maestro 4210 is a good GPS product. It can read street names. i had been to the US recently where my freind bought one. This product he felt was better than the 800 or 3250. it has widescreen, thin (0.7"), a lot of Points of Interest (6 million should do), and helpful screen guides (I really like the ETA function). now that the cost of GPS products have gone down a bit, it is a good thing to go for one.
I am from India and was influenced ...

Sony NAVU 83T
Review of Sony NV-U83T by
cperk
Advantages: Large bright screen, loud voice, superior suction mount, good navigation
Disadvantages: Slow calculating routes
...While no GPS is perfect, Sony has done a pretty good job with this one. The 4.8" screen is crisp and bright, touch screen responds well, bluetooth works the best of any other unit I tried. Routing is decent, POI icons are branded, not generic which is really nice. You can also select the size of fonts and icons. The mount is absolutely the best. Power and TMC connect to it so the unit can be removed quickly. The suction cup actually sticks to the ... ...to have some issues that Sony claims to have fixed with a firmware update. One of them is the route calculation and recalculation times. IMO this is the major flaw with the unit. While not unbearable, both the calculating route and recalculation are slower than other units. I've owned and tried about 20 different units in the past year, and I must say this is by far my favorite. ...

Mio Moov 200 - affordable GPS with Text to speech
Review of Mio Moov 200 by
ande1352
Advantages: compact, affordable, text to speech, millions of POI
Disadvantages: not widescreen, funny pronunciations, missing POI
I recently got a Mio Moov 200 for my birthday, and I've been using almost daily every since (5 months). The unit, despite being one of the cheaper lower end models, is a great little piece of technology. It is one of the cheaper units to have Text-to-speech spoken directions, millions of points of interest, and good sound despite the tiny speaker.
The only problems I've had with the unit include some of the street names being spoken incorrectly ... ...being included in the database. For example, one of our local gas station chains is never included in the database, despite being quite numerous in the area. Things I really like with the unit include the text to speech (even with the funny pronunciations), how it clearly announces upcoming turns, the POI database (even with the missing ones, hopefully to be fixed in an upcoming update) as well as decent routing. The estimated times of arrival are ...
