GPS Garmin Etrex Vista, is one handy, light, easy to use GPS that easily to carry anywhere you go, but always bring backup 2 AA batteries with you, cause the accuracy is sometime very inaccurate (especially the compass) when the battery is low. I have used this since late 2003 untill it's broken (the LCD display is very weak and not good) and became very inaccurate in mid 2005 and after that I replace it with GPS Garmin V. I've owned this GPS unit for over a year now. I use it for hunting, camping, walking in the woods or when I go geocaching (a fun little game and an extra way to use your GPS unit). I've been able to get within 1 yard of a point I'm looking for or just track where I have been and where I need to go! Although there are some downsides...which I believe occur with all GPS units that I've played with so far. One is that if you are in thick woods or under ... ...recieve the best reception to the satellites in order to get closer to the spot you want to get to. Another down side is the fact that the screen is not in color.
What's great though is that you can save tracks or certain spots so you can get to them another day by inputting your GPS waypoint/coordinates and saving it under a specific title. If you are walking, you can track your walk (the GPS unit does it automatically when you turn it on).
