...to have some issues that Sony claims to have fixed with a firmware update. One of them is the route calculation and recalculation times. IMO this is the major flaw with the unit. While not unbearable, both the calculating route and recalculation are slower than other units. The Garmin Nuvi is a lot better than all of the other GPS systems out in the market today. The sound is 100% better than any other. When you put in your location and where you need to go it will tell you outloud like any other normal system. The roads on the map are color coated so you know exactally where to go and this makes it very hard to get lost. I bought my TomTom Go 720 about a year ago. I have had great luck using it and really like it alot. It is very easy to use and the menu navigation is very easy. The screen is easy to see night or day with the great feature to change the colors at night to prevent night blindness. This GPS unit is so easy to use and program. I loved the touch screen, it made it very easy to plug in the street names or even search for a restaurant or theatre, and it was perfect for a long road trip we took and worth having for that.
