GSx60 - handy companion
Review of Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx - GPS receiver 60CSx 12 channel GPS receiver by Example_superstar123

Advantages: size, userfriendly, all-purpose navigation
Disadvantages: pricing for device and maps, map-activation

The Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx is the extended Version of the GPSMAP 60 Cx. While the case is same size and format, the CSx shows up with a barometric altimeter and an electronic compass. I use it for several purposes. Traveling statistics, autorouting, topo/directions and waypoint navigation are those functions I mainly use. The intuitive interface helps to use the software without having to read the manual. A basemap is installed ex factory, with the ...
...on 'bad roads'). Unfortunately, Garmin doesn't offer a mounting for motocycles, so I had to get a 3rd party retainer from Europe (Touratech) The CSx 60 runs with 2AA batteries. Using powercables (not delivered), the device is able to run with external powersources (carbatteries) and is also able to deal with AA-rechargable batteries (has to be activated if you want to use it). All in all, the CSx60 with the right maps and accessories is a great ... Read review

garmin 350
Review of Garmin nüvi 350 - GPS receiver 350 GPS receiver by arcusin13

Advantages: very fast and quiet
Disadvantages: a bit expensive

The Garmin Nüvi 350 is based on the SiRFstarIII GPS chip, which boasts fast satellite-acquisition times and improved GPS-signal reception in areas where the view of the sky may be partially blocked by dense foliage or tall buildings. In addition to voice-guided, turn-by-turn driving directions, the Nüvi offers all the usual features we've come to expect from today's crop of in-car navigation systems, including automatic routing, the ability to save ...
...when you veer off course, and 2D and 3D map views. It also has text-to-speech directions through which the actual street name is spoken, and you can hook up an optional FM traffic receiver to obtain real-time traffic alerts. Unfortunately, the receiver will set you back another $214 for the hardware, and there's a $60-per-year subscription fee. ... Read review

Solid GPS
Review of Garmin StreetPilot c330 - GPS receiver C330 12 channel GPS receiver by brightdreamer

Advantages: Gets you where you're going
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky, volume is touchy

I purchased this unit at a "Black Friday" sale at Wal-mart this past year. It was an early Christmas present to myself, and I can't be happier with it! With my home business, I have to travel often in my local area. It was getting tiresome printing out directions from a map site, and having to look at them in a dark car. This unit has a bright, easy-to-read screen, and gives clear directions in real-time. I rarely miss a turn now, and if I do, I ...
..."recalculating," and it soon directs me back where I need to be. The interface is very user-friendly, and I've hardly had to look at the manual to figure out how to use it. This is also a good unit for travel, as I can find any food or entertainment places nearby, wherever I am. I've been lost in many a big city before... not any longer! You can also stop and find food, gas, or entertainment along your current route, which helps in trip planning. ... Read review
